I didn’t notice her before…but now I do. The shiny strands of gold in her silky brown hair. Tiny crinkles between her eyebrows when she frowns. Her passion for neatness. Once I focus on her, I can’t take my eyes from my newest obsession. Ever. I need to know everything about her. Her past. Her present. The way she takes her coffee. Exactly how she smells after a spritz of perfume in the mornings. She’s perfect in every way and I was blind. But, God, now do I see. I notice the organized way she arranges her clothes in her closet. How she visits the same market each Saturday. The sounds of her breathing as I lie beneath her bed in silence. Violet is mine. She just doesn’t know it yet.
***WARNING*** Notice is a dark and unusual romance. Extreme sexual themes and violence in certain scenes, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for you. If you aren't into super obsessive stalkers, then this story is not for you.
REVIEW
RATING:
Talk about an interesting H! Trust Kristi to give me another hero who’s broken and creepy but can’t help loving. Oy!
Violet, an unappreciated employee, surrounded by misogynists, has had enough and decided to hand her resignation to her employer, Gray. And that got Gray’s attention alright. And so began Gray’s obsession. What happens after is a dynamics that’s disturbing and hot and at the same time.
On the one hand, Gray was the last person Violet needs in her life considering who she’s running away from, but on the other, he’s like the good side of the same coin. How about that! While Violet is a decent h, a survivor really, I’d say Gray definitely overshadowed her, in every sense of the word, hah! How can he not! He’s a stalker, peeps, a stalker! BUT you can’t help but be intrigued by him and be sucked in by his words and thoughts. And boy is he one dirty talker, unf!
While this didn’t give me the same oomph as the previous Kristi reads, this definitely has K Webster written all over it, meaning it’s a ride to crazy, it’s got dark triggers, it pushes limits, AND it’s disturbingly hot it makes you question your own judgment.
Oh, Kristi, Kristi… what it’s like to be inside that brain of yours…
