Review: Playing with the Drummer (Head Over Heels, Book 3) by Robin Covington
Hi, Leftie here! My last review for the year. Then, 2015 it is!
RATING:
*Complimentary ARC received from Entangled Publishing*
(Originally posted on Goodreads)
This is the 3rd book in the series but it is a standalone. I myself have not read the other 2 and it was fine.
Lita and Rocky had a weekend together 4 years ago when they managed to embed themselves into each other's psyche and alienated each other at the same time by the end of it. Fast forward 4 years later and there's much distrust and hurt between the 2. So it's about overcoming that while dealing with the heat between them 2, and with what's happening with their friends' wedding and their personal/work lives.
Lita has her head on her shoulder for the most part. Rocky is your typical reclusive sexy musician with a past.
It's a quick delish read. You can feel the tension b/w the 2 and not in an overly angsty way, which was good. It did feel that some things were resolved pretty quickly, which I was ok with, as well. There's a whollotta sweetness going on... This is a first Robin Covington read for me, and I would definitely not mind reading more of her stuff.

RATING:
Entertainment journalist Lita Matthews is on the verge of making it big. As in her-own-TV-show big. She just needs amazing inside scoop on the year's hottest celebrity wedding. Instead, her big break is becoming a big nightmare—all thanks to rock star Rocky Cardano. Who apparently hasn't gotten over what happened between them four years ago... Rocky is pretty damn familiar with just how far Lita will go for a “scoop.” Hell, their unbelievably hot hook-up in Mexico years ago was the story of a lifetime. Rocky's learned his lessons. He'll do whatever it takes to keep her from the story—even if he has to seduce her to the point of distraction! But Lita has always had a way of getting under his skin. Only this time, he won't be able to just walk away...

Title: Mind, Trinity Trilogy, Book 2
Author: Audrey Carlan
Genre: Erotic Contemporary Romance
Tour Host: DRC Promotions
Synopsis
I’m a magnet for evil and controlling men. Chase, my big business tycoon and love of my life, thinks he can protect me…he can’t.
No one can.
It became clear far too late how serious my stalker was, that his threats weren’t idle. He proved more than once that he would do what it takes, that there were no stakes too high to his sick and twisted games and delusions of worship.
We should have been better prepared. The roses, images, lingerie soaked in his seed, even his calling card written in blood didn’t penetrate. I had faith that my love could make it go away, that eventually he’d be caught.
I was wrong.
***
In the second highly anticipated erotic suspense novel in the Trinity Trilogy, MIND digs deep into the heart and psyche of Gillian and her stalker through dueling POVs.
While Chase and Gillian plan their wedding, follow them and the entire gang as the stalker acts out his revenge and plots his attack on Gillian, Chase, and their friends.
This book can be considered dark, erotic, and thrilling. As in Body (Trinity Trilogy Book 1) the issue of domestic violence plays heavily in the storyline, and Gillian experiences many disturbing flashbacks of the past, alongside tragedy the stalker brings to the present. There is also a lot of love, devotion, and friendship.
Warning: This book is designed for audiences 18+ due to language, graphic sexual content, and themes that some may find disturbing. MIND is book 2 of a three-part trilogy. Body (Trinity Trilogy - Book 1) must be read prior to reading MIND.
Excerpt
“Baby, Gillian, I’m
here,” Chase’s voice enters my thoughts. I can feel his hand running up and
down my back. The lights of the room start to penetrate my senses. I can see
the French doors that lead off to the balcony, the mahogany desk in the corner,
a wall of bookcases with medical texts and trinkets from around the world. I
know this place. I love this place. This place makes me feel safe. Currently,
I’m huddled into the corner in a fetal position.
“Come here, Gillian. I’ve
got you, I’ve always got you. Remember, I promised to always bring you back,”
Chase’s words reach my subconscious, and I fling myself into his arms. He holds
me close, lifts me up and brings me to the chair I was sitting in previously. I
hug him tight as he cradles me like an infant. Once my breathing comes back to
a neutral pattern I uncurl my legs and look around. Dr. Madison is sitting in
his chair, yellow pad held tight by his clenched hand, the paper scrunched up
and creased, kind of like my heart after that flashback.
“I’m sorry, Dr. Madison,”
I whisper and his head springs up.
“Gillian, you have
nothing to be sorry about. I hadn’t realized that you were having the
flashbacks again. This stalker business is bringing up some very old wounds,
ones you obviously haven’t dealt with. How often are they coming to you?” He
asks.
Shame hits me like a
physical blow. “Um, I’ve been having them off and on for the past few months.
When I moved in with Chase they were all but gone. Then this thing with Phil
happened, now they’re back full force.”
“And the nightmares…tell
him about everything,” Chase warns forcing me to be honest with the doctor and
myself.
I close my eyes and let
Chase’s scent fill my nostrils and calm me, his warmth replacing the chill deep
in my bones, and his love washing away the shame.
“I’ve had one a night
since the note appeared a few days ago at the hospital. I feel like I’m losing
my mind, that I’m living in the past. The only thing that can bring me out of
it is…” I suck in a breath as the tears spill down my cheeks.
“Is what?” Dr. Madison
asks.
“Me,” Chase answers for
me and I nod silently, not able to form words. “And I’ll do it every time.
Gladly, baby. You’re mine. Not some sick fuck from your past that put his hands
on you with hate. I swear to God if I ever see him…”
I turn in his lap and cup
his cheeks. “No. He’s ruined enough of me. I can’t let him hurt you. Not you.”
I lean my forehead against his.
“Is that what you think,
Gillian? That Justin ruined you?” Dr. Madison asks softly.
I nod and look out the
window. “I don’t even know why Chase would want someone so messed up. It
doesn’t make sense,” I admit. Chase’s arms grip me tight. I scramble out of his
lap and into the other chair needing the space to wallow in my own self-pity.
“Gillian, you are the
best thing that ever happened to me. Not only are you the most beautiful woman
I’ve ever known, your heart is bigger than those of a hundred people. You’re
smart, silly, devastatingly intelligent, and your soul is pure. I want
that in my life. I need that in my life, every day, forever.” Chase
comes over to me and kneels at my feet. “No woman has every loved me,
the man I am with you.” Chase swallows and kisses my hands. “You are not
ruined. Baby, you’re perfect. Perfect for me.”
Review
So we get the continuation of Gillian and Chase’s story. This
is the 2nd book in the Trinity trilogy so you do need to read the
first one to appreciate this.
Gillian and Chase are now engaged and they are also dealing
with the issue of Gillian’s stalker. This is a little darker than the first one
as we also now get a glimpse into the stalker’s mind. And the intent doesn’t
just involve Gillian alone.
As a read in its entirety, I admit I struggled a bit with it. After finished reading it, I thought about the
reason why, and I realized my issue was Gillian herself. Throughout the book, I
may have lost sight a little of why I should care what happens to her. I had to keep
reminding myself why Chase is with her. I really felt I was empathetic to
her whole plight because of her past, but some of her actions and thoughts drove
me nuts so I sorta’ stopped getting why all those things are happening to her.
Then those feelings kinda’ snowballed and spilled into how I felt about her
friends, except Kat. I like her for some reason. Not that I didn’t care about
what happened, but more like not having as much patience with some of their
interactions.
Having said all that, I did feel for Gillian when she goes
thru her episodes. They're difficult scenes and made my heart crack. No woman,
and I mean NO woman, should ever, ever, experience that, but sadly, it happens.
And here’s what else I do like, in addition to Kat. I liked
Austin too. And of course, there is Chase. OH, CHASE… He was definitely Gillian’s
anchor during all this mess. He will and can do anything for Gillian and her friends,
what more can a gal ask for, sigh…
I also did appreciate getting the stalker’s POV, which
certainly amped up the suspense of it all. It had me on tenterhooks just knowing
things are about to happen. I kinda’ figured it out who it was but it was still
worth finding out in the end.
And the way it ended, I know I just have to read the finale.
I have to!!!

BLOG TOUR: Raze by Tillie Cole
Welcome to Tillie Cole's blog tour!
RATING:
*Complimentary copy provided by author via host*
*Contains explicit sexual situations, excessive violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.
New book by Tillie Cole!!!
To take back life, one must first face death...
One man stripped of his freedom, his morals...his life.
Conditioned in captivity to maim, to kill and to slaughter, prisoner 818 becomes an unremorseful, unrivaled and unstoppable fighter in the ring. Violence is all he knows. Death and brutality are the masters of his fate.
After years of incarceration in an underground hell, only one thought occupies his mind: revenge...bloody, slow and violent revenge.
Revenge on the man who lied.
Revenge on the man who wronged him.
Revenge on the man who condemned him and turned him into this: a rage-fueled killing machine. A monster void of humanity; a monster filled with hate.
And no one will stand in the way of getting what he wants.
One woman stripped of her freedom, her morals...her life.
Kisa Volkova is the only daughter of Kirill ‘The Silencer’ Volkov, head of the infamous ‘Triad’ bosses of New York's Russian Bratva. Her life is protected. In reality, it’s a virtual prison. Her father’s savage treatment of his rivals and his lucrative and coveted underground gambling ring—The Dungeon—ensures too many enemies lurk at their door.
She dreams to be set free.
Kisa has known only cruelty and loss in her short life. As manager of her father’s death match enterprise, only grief and pain fill her days. Her mafia boss father, in her world, rules absolute. And her fiancé, Alik Durov, is no better; the Dungeon’s five-time champion, a stone-cold killer, the treasured son of her father’s best friend, and her very own—and much resented—personal guard. Unrivaled in both strength and social standing, Alik controls every facet of Kisa’s life, dominates her every move; keeps her subdued and dead inside...then one night changes everything.
While working for her church—the only reprieve in her constant surveillance—Kisa stumbles across a tattooed, scarred, but stunningly beautiful homeless man on the streets. Something about him stirs feelings deep within her; familiar yet impossibly forbidden desires. He doesn’t talk. Doesn’t communicate with anyone. He’s a man beyond saving, and a man she must quickly forget...for both their sakes.
But when weeks later, out of the blue and to her complete surprise, he’s announced as the replacement fighter in The Dungeon, Kisa knows she’s in a whole lot of trouble. He’s built, ripped and lethally unforgiving to his opponents, leaving fear in his wake and the look of death in his eyes.
Kisa becomes obsessed with him. Yearns for him. Craves his touch. Needs to possess this mysterious man...this man they call Raze.

Amazon & USA Today Best Selling Author, Tillie Cole, is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother -- a farmer's daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.
Being a scary blend of Scottish and English, Tillie embraces both cultures; her English heritage through her love of HP sauce and freshly made Yorkshire Puddings, and her Scottish which is mostly demonstrated by her frighteningly foul-mouthed episodes of pure rage and her much loved dirty jokes.
Having been born and raised as a Teesside Smoggie, Tillie, at age nineteen, moved forty miles north to the 'Toon', Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, where she attended Newcastle University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Religious Studies. She returned two years later to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching High School Social Studies. Tillie, regards Newcastle to be a home from home and enjoyed the Newcastle Geordie way of life for seven 'proper mint' and 'lush' years.
One summers day, after finishing reading her thousandth book on her much loved and treasured Kindle, Tillie turned to her husband and declared, "D'you know, I have a great idea for a story. I could write a book." Several months later, after repeating the same tired line at the close of another completed story, she was scolded by her husband to shut up talking about writing a novel and "just bloody do it!" For the first time in eleven years, Tillie actually took his advice (he is still trying to get over the shock) and immediately set off on a crazy journey, delving deep into her fertile imagination.
Tillie, ever since, has written from the heart. She combines her passion for anything camp and glittery with her love of humour and dark brooding men (most often muscled and tattooed – they’re her weakness!). She also has a serious side (believe it or not!) and loves to immerse herself in the complex study of World Religions, History and Cultural Studies and creates fantasy stories that enable her to thread serious issues and topics into her writing -- yep, there's more to this girl than profanity and sparkles!
After six years of teaching high school Social Studies and following her Professional Rugby Player husband around Europe, they have finally given up their nomadic way of life and settled in Calgary, Alberta where Tillie spends most of her days (and many a late night) lost in a writing euphoria or pursuing a dazzling career as a barrel-racing, tasselled-chap wearing, Stetson-sporting cowgirl... Ye-haw!

REVIEW
First, suspend disbelief, check!
Now that’s out of the way, I think Tillie has done it again,
ie, written another story that will grab one from the beginning and does not loosen
its grip until the last word. I personally
ate everything up, from the story to the characters. Talk about wow!
It’s a story of a girl and a boy, who grew up together,
separated due to family tragedy and all kinds of evilness, somehow managed to
find each other again, and after that, just trying to find their way home again
to each other while dealing with all kinds of evilness.
Kisa is an interesting h. She’s quite a doormat on one hand,
which I thought was incongruent with being a mob princess, but at the same
token she’s bold when it came to Raze. Her interaction with Alik, who’s as
freaky scary as they come, is not easy to swallow. Raze has a brutal story and
just broke my heart. His past just made me wanna vomit, so much violence. Yet,
the sense of innocence when he was around Kisa was beyond endearing and made me
feel all mushy squishy.
Right from the start, I felt how connected these 2 are. It’s
just so friggin’ romantic! The words used to describe the ties that bind these
2 just made me wanna go “awwwww” all the time. And the heat, oh boy!
The Russian mob angle is quite interesting in a way, but a
mob story is a mob story, I suppose.
I think I’m finally wrapping my head around Tillie’s
writing, esp the darker ones (the only ones I’ve been exposed to, so far). I find she’s quite extreme with her scenarios and
a bit OTT with storylines but she makes me care for her characters so I become
willing to just go along for the(ir) ride and see her characters get their HEAs
because they deserve it, period.
Kisa and Raze are no exception. Love!!!

“God bless you, child… God bless you… You always take such good care of me.”
I smiled at the old man as he delved into his care package, immediately eating the ham sandwich that was tightly wrapped in saran wrap. He had been here at this spot for years. Well, I corrected myself, at least the three years I’d been serving with the church. Pav said this old man had probably been living on these streets for at least three decades. He always hid down here in this small alley, like a scared mouse afraid to leave his hole. I’d snuck away from my group against orders, but I couldn’t leave him without his food parcel. Something about this old man spurred me on to save him. He always looked so… broken, so sad.
I could relate.
“Kisa? Kisa, where are you?” A distant voice attracted my attention. I instantly recognized it as that of Pavel.
Glancing down to check on the old man, I smiled when I noted he was wrapped up in warm blankets and buried under a mass of boxes hiding him from view.
“Kisa?”
Rolling my eyes, I groaned when Talia’s frantic voice joined that of Pavel.
Great.
Glancing toward the growing gathering of volunteers at the end of the long alleyway, I started to jog their way, when suddenly, a scruffy, bearded man ghosted out of the darkness, tripping me to the warm, wet ground with a deliberately outstretched foot.
With no time to scream, I hit the ground, my palms scraping against rough asphalt. Suddenly, my attacker's weight pressed down on my back as he tried to snatch my purse. He stank of alcohol and stale body odor. I fought back a retch. I didn’t recognize him as one of the homeless who
frequented this alley. And he had absolutely no idea whose daughter he was fucking with!
“No! Get off me! Help!” I tried to scream, but the man's weight on my back stole my voice from sounding out in the empty alley. The volunteers hadn’t seen me here being attacked, too far out of sight in the darkness to witness the crime.
My attacker kept yanking on my arm, making me see spots. I tried to free my arm from its place underneath my stomach, to release my purse, but it was trapped.
Then I abruptly stilled as I felt a sharp blade caress the side of my neck.
“Hand over your purse, bitch, or I’ll cut your fucking throat,” the low-toned voice ordered, but I couldn’t free my arm. Fear spread through my whole being.
The blade pressed farther into my neck, and I closed my eyes, expecting the worst. Suddenly, I heard a deep roar and my attacker was hauled off me, his strangled protest muting mid-wail as a crunching sound echoed around the towering walls of the alley.
Frantically crawling forward to escape the noise, I scrambled to my knees and flipped over on to my ass… and immediately stopped breathing at the scene before me.
My attacker was pinned against the wall as a huge hooded man pounded his face and stomach with clenched fists. I couldn’t take my eyes away. The hooded man was relentless, each punch delivered with precision, his chest heaving in excitement and his feet rocking from side to side as he
relished the outlet for his aggression. He was enjoying the fight… He was getting off on violence…
I recognized the signs from watching Alik rip apart his victims in the cage.
Crawling to the wall of the alley, I used the hard brick to stumble to my shaking feet and whipped my head to the hooded man.
I shuffled to my feet, my eyes never leaving the hooded man who now had his hands on the man’s jaw.
As I realized what he was about to do, I lurched forward and shouted, “No!” But with a sharp jerk of his large hands, a loud snap ricocheted off the walls. My attacker’s lifeless body dropped to the ground at my feet—neck broken.
I stared at the unmoving body. Death didn’t usually faze me. I’d seen many dead bodies in my lifetime, more than most undertakers see in their whole careers, but the ease with which the hooded man killed filled me with fear and dread. It was obvious he had killed before; no first-timer was that
smooth in the kill.
My eyes drifted up to the hooded killer, who was eerily still. He faced his victim, fists clenched at his sides, his packed chest rhythmically rising and falling under the sweatshirt that clung to his heavily muscled torso.
He was close to me. So close that I could feel the heat radiating in waves from his body. My breathing was labored and I wanted to get the hell out of here. But I couldn’t move, caught in hypnotic rapture as I stared at the strange man who loomed menacingly before me.
He took a step forward, my body bracing for attack, then he took another step closer. My back hit the wall as I drew back in fear, and the hooded man took one final step until he was almost flush against my chest.
My eyes were wide as I stared at his dark form and my breath came slow at the close proximity. The hooded man never moved, just stood still before me like a statue.
He was huge; wide and tall. Only the bottom half of his face was in view—his full lips, his stubbled, strong jaw… the bare top of his wide chest, demonic-looking tattoos covering his beautifully defined high pecs.
His head tilted up and more of his face hove into view. My heart began to pound harder as I waited to see his face, but the material from his hood hung low, shielding his eyes.
I watched as the man’s teeth ran over his bottom lip. Mustering a modicum of bravery and clearly defying all of Alik’s rules, I cautiously edged forward and blurted, “You… you saved me.”
My hands were shaking, my legs and voice, weak, and as dangerous as this man seemed, his body too tense and rigid, my fear waned. It seemed, as we stood here toe to toe, he wanted to study me, be closer to me.
The hooded man’s jaw tightened and his head tilted to the side, as if contemplating what I’d said. I couldn’t take my eyes off him, his aura animalistic, feral, yet it somehow… wasn’t.
I couldn’t explain it.

Top 5 Auto-Read Romance Writers
For bookworms out there, we all have that list of writers, don't we? Writers whose work you've come to love in time and have become staples in your shelf because regardless of what they write, you know you will read it, despite a miss every now and then. Granted, it does happen that sometimes you fall out of love with their works, especially when the stories or characters become redundant, but that's not who I'm talking about here.
When it comes to romance, these women can keep writing and I'll keep reading:
1.) Sylvia Day
To me she'll always be the one who gave me Gideon Cross. She hooked me in with the Crossfire series, and the rest, as they say, is history.
2.) CD Reiss
I first discovered CD Reiss with her Songs of Submission series. I loved the strength she gives to all her characters, and her writing, in my humble opinion, is just superb.
3.) Kristen Ashley
KA books is a guilty pleasure, if I may call it that. I have to say that her writing style takes getting used but boy, does she know her alpha heroes or what! Trust me! *grins*
4.) JA Huss
With all of what I've read of her work so far, one thing you can count on is that by the end of the story, you're nowhere near where you thought it will go. That's been my experience anyway.
5.) Ella James
Ella hooked me in with her erotic retelling of known fairy tales. Need I say more? LOL
And this is gonna make it past Top 5 but I cannot not mention The Erotica Consortium, a group of 8 fabulous authors (which incidentally includes CD Reiss, JA Huss, and Ella James), who just writes the most delish scenes and stories*g*. I really don't see why they shouldn't be in anyone's auto-read list, that's all.
Yes, these writers' works are...umm... raunchier than your average romance stories, but what can I say, they're just smokin'! If you think E.L. James can write (yes, I went there, but hey, even I am an FSoG fan and bought it hook, line and sinker, ok?), wait til you read these women's works... just my humble opinion...

Review: Where Darkness Lies (Criminals of the Ocean, Book 2) by Bella Jewel
RATING: 3 napkins
(Originally posted on Goodreads)
*Complimentary ARC received from publisher via Netgalley*
This is the 2nd book in the series and yes, it is a standalone, but just like any standalone within a series, it always enhance the reading if one reads in sequence.
Glad I got the opportunity to read Jess and Dimitri's story.
For starter, it was nice to see a new side to Jess. As a secondary character in Enslaved by the Ocean, I thought she was a bit of a mouse, granted with a bit of bite. Here, she's become a worthy h. Her core strength is a highlight and it was clear, like the blurb said, that she was feisty and strong headed.
Dimitri is quite the broken swoon-worthy H. I quite enjoyed how thrown-off he was by Jess.
It's quite touching seeing how the relationship evolved b/w these 2 broken MCs, as they try to be mindful of each other's dark past, how that affects their dynamics and how they start to draw strength from each other.
The story itself went sideways for me after Jess was <SPOILER>abducted by her apparently not dead foster father and she was then forced to fight.<END OF SPOILER> And I didn't quite understand that small scene at the end when <SPOILER>Jess got angry at the end when she found out about Dimitri's initial reaction, how he thought she took off and not abducted. I felt there could have been a better moment to allow them to declare their I-love-yous.<END OF SPOILER>
Now, this doesn't necessarily have to do with this book alone, but I'm realizing that Bella's writing and I are going to have an interesting relationship. So far, I'm really liking all her MCs (main characters) but I'm not completely enamored with how her story flows. The pace feels off at times. And sometimes, it feels like new events or angles are introduced as a last-minute decision, just thrown in haphazardly. If I compare it to movie-making, it's like giving A-list actors a mediocre script. Hope that makes sense.
It'll be interesting to see how I'll feel about Bella's other books on my TBR (to-be-read) pile...

Anger and pain brought them together, but their passion might just set them free.
Dimitri wants only one thing: revenge. His stepfather, Hendrix, has caused him nothing but pain and heartache. At last Dimitri can take something—someone—important to Hendrix and make him pay: Jess.
Jess is feisty and strong headed. Her past haunts her and connects her to the dangerously dark Dimitri in an unexpected way. Dimitri keeps his secrets locked deep inside, and Jess is drawn to this broken man like no one before.
With little to cling to besides their haunting pasts, both could have been doomed to lives spent raging against the darkness that holds them prisoner. Instead, it seems that as their pain draws them closer together, it is their desire that will set them free.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Cover Designer: Judi Perkins
Release Date: January 15th 2015
Worlds are realigned on one winter’s night.
“The thunderous storm that he is intensifies and I'm about to beg him for this.”
The Ballerina I've had plenty of practice being graceful, but he has my heart tripping over my pointe shoes. I've conditioned myself to rely on nobody else and I won't start now. I'll push back as hard as I can. However, he seems to be determined on pulling down the wall I use to separate myself from others. Removing myself from his vise grip just became excruciatingly difficult. The storm that follows this man—no, the storm that is this man—has given me more than what I’ve bargained for.
The Storm The primal need I have for her is deeper than any I’ve experienced before. My world has shifted in more ways than one, and I’m not going to stand around and be held hostage where I don’t belong. The next move I make won’t be for anyone else but myself, and if it happens to bring my world to a screeching halt, then I’m not going to fight it. I’m determined. I want her.
Jess & Sasha - JSAuthors. The co-authors come as a package deal with extravagant ribbons laced on top. Their combined enthusiasm is seen as a pink sunrise, uniquely captivating. They share a love for writing, fictional romance, passion-fruit tea lemonade, sweetened and shaken on ice, as well as the color pink. Their combined efforts to share their internal monologues, since they share a brain, can be found in The Date Series
.

S. Brümmer
A self-published author by night and all around busybody by day, Sasha is an international baby, born in gorgeous South Africa. Her cultured lifestyle is one that many don’t get to experience. I was a son, A friend, A brother, A psychopath. Eighteen years of being in a psyche ward; I was released into the world. Things have changed, Blake is married to Melody and is a father to my new fixation, Cereus. My beautiful niece who knows nothing of my existence. When consequences of past sins begin playing tricks on me, old cravings demand to be satisfied. There is no cure for my kind of sickness. I am void of everything but obsession. I can’t love, I can’t feel, I am Desolate.
I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active... I would want to change the script.I would watch films and think of ways they could of improved the story if they took another direction so i thought it best that i tell my own.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.
When I'm not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I'm a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister. You can find me on Facebook where i love interacting with my readers.
