Review
RATING:
As a fan of the series, I can’t tell you how much I was looking forward to reading Waleron and Delara’s story. Even from the previous books, you can tell they have the most to tell, and indeed they did!
With the kind of history they have, there’s a lot of hurt, a lot of pain and a lot of sacrifice on each end. But when you’re destined to be with that one person the way they are, none of that should and would matter. My heart broke over and over for these 2, and and to see these 2 go through what they went through… sigh…
I’m a lil conflicted about how certain things went down. I didn’t expect for other people to be involved but a love story like theirs that spans practically a century, and full of strife to boot, for reasons beyond their control sometimes, some comfort is deserved… I think…
And not sure how I feel about how little time they spent together on-screen if I may call it that. But I get it. Considering what’s happening, it was necessary. Oh, but when they’re together, the intensity of their chemistry, dear lahwd!
If you’re a fan of the series like I am, you already know Waleron and Delara and what makes them tick as an individual and as a couple. Their story has already been unfolding slowly throughout the series. But here you’ll see how it all began, and what happened in between. Then of course, you get POVs from other characters that build the story further.
At any rate, despite my conflicting feelings about certain things, this remains a 5-star read for me. I’m just so invested in all of them now that I do want to see every single one of them get their HEA, and I mean every single one of them. Oh Nashoda, as always, I look forward to the next one.
