Another scorcher by Gina!
The 2nd book in the series, this standalone is now about Jane’s friend, Addison (Addie), and Chance’s friend, Roman. If you’ve read the first book, you know what Roman does as a side gig, along with his 3 other close friends. Outside of that gig, Roman is a lawyer. So is Addison, a budding one, anyway.
Roman broke his own law of not messing with friends of friends. Addison just wants her hands on the deliciousness that is Roman. After a one-night stand, well, what do you know, their paths will cross again.
Roman has a very specific kink. Addie was open-minded enough to go for it.
Roman, in the words of Addie, is “…Refined with an edge. Safe with hints of danger. A good man and a bad boy…” in a nutshell. How scrumptious is that! Roman may have pulled that cliché jumping-the-gun-too-fast, but I get it… Addie, in turn, has so much sass to her, I love it. It’s the kind of feistiness that doesn’t grate; it was just the right balance to her soft vulnerable side.
As much as it started out as supposed one-night stand with that insta-lust, you can see how it developed into so much more, from their daily work interactions that moved outside work. Roman went thru what I really enjoy in my H, that of being unsettled by all the emotions that a h evokes out of him. And Addie, like I said, for all her doubts, showed confidence in herself which I really enjoyed.
These 2 together, boy did they sizzle!!! I’ll leave it at that *g*
