If you’re a fan of the Sunset Cove series like I am, then you’d know that Dylan was first introduced in Devil’s Kiss. When I first learned that there will be a 3rd book in this series, and that it will be about Dylan, you bet I was excited! So yup, an Ella fan here for a while now. But this is a first Brooke read for me even though I have another book of hers.
Before I get ahead of myself, please note that this is just the beginning of Dylan and Ace’s story. That caught me off-guard because the previous books in the Ella series were standalones; but apparently not this one. Just saying…
So Dylan, who has a thriving career as a model has moved to LA and landed a role in an Ace Locke movie. Ace Locke is a bona fide superstar. Ace Locke, in turn, is enamored with Dylan’s billboard ad and not realizing that Dylan was going to be in his movie. So it’s like 2 crushes colliding. And boy was it ever a sweet hot collision!!!
For all of Ace’s fame and money, he’s really just this man with regular insecurities. He may have gone out of the closet but with all the expectations that came with his fame, he might as well not have been. And Dylan was just the opposite. He was very easygoing, and very secure with himself. He didn’t necessarily have the best childhood but he turned out ok, and you can say, just coasting nicely. Such a pair!
Their coming together is delightful and full of charm and heat! GAH!!! In Dylan and Ace, Ella and Brooke gave such an adorable pair who are both funny, caring, real, and engaging.They’re considerate of each other and just mindful of each other’s needs. GAH!!! And the connection between these 2 just siiiiizzled!!! GAH!!!
They’ve managed so far to keep their relationship in a bubble, so you know something’s gotta give… And that’s where we’re at...

You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a- holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her quiet time; Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas.
