This picks up right where the first book ended and boy, was I on edge right from the start! Luckily, Beck was smart enough to realize certain things. And OMG, Beck cannot be any more perfect, I swear! From beginning to end, yes!
For what Sela's been through, it's nice to see that she's no longer alone. She doesn't have to bear the burden of her past on her own anymore. But with sharing that burden also comes having to consider not just herself anymore.
Beck is doing everything in his power to find Sela her needed closure which would also help him cut ties properly. After all, a lot of things are at stake. And in Beck doing so, oh dear lord, the power only a billionaire can yield, dang!
But this is also about Sela and Beck solidifying and strengthening their relationship as well. Because it's just necessary if they want to come out of the other side successful. And seeing of course there is one more book in this series, oh gawd, I certainly hope what they have is strong enough. It just has to be!
Because the way this book ended... Jesus, Mohammad, Allah!!! First I was shaking my head questioning Sela's actions, as in SMH, then I was cursing, and I'm pretty sure my mouth dropped at the last scene, seriously!!
Sawyer, that is one nasty cliffhanger!!! And just as you probably expected, I'm in, hook, line and sinker!!! Imma see this through the end... 'cause really, I had no choice anymore... I just hafta!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA
